Description
Cortisol, the main adrenal glucocorticoid, is produced and secreted by the adrenal glands in response to pituitary adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH),which is regulated by hypothalamic corticotropin-releasing hormone through a classic negative-feedback loop.
