Description
The increasing predominance of obesity has led to an epidemic of diabetes mellitus and related complications, including ASCVD.
With our risk panels, one will be able to identify patients with insulin resistance (IR) or prediabetes who are at risk of developing diabetes. Recognizing risk, including hidden risk earlier then you can do more rapidly to stop or delay the progression to diabetes before it become more complex to manage.
Diabetes and ASCVD Risk Panel with Scores - To assist with control of blood glucose levels, the American Diabetes Association (ADA) has recommended glycated hemoglobin testing (HbA1c) twice a year for patients with stable glycemia, and quarterly for patients with poor glucose control. Interpretative ranges are based on ADA guidelines.
The hemoglobin A1c test measures the hemoglobin A1c blood level.
Test includes:-
Glucose
Hemoglobin A1c
Total Cholesterol, HDL Cholesterol, Triglycerides, Non-HDL and Calculated Components

If a cholesterol measurement is to be performed along with Triglycerides, but not part of a lipid panel, then the patient should be fasting 9-12 hours prior to collection. If the cholesterol is ordered as part of a lipid panel, then a fasting sample is not required.
